What this tool does

Choose a type, fill in the fields shown for it, and the tool writes JSON-LD wrapped in a <script type="application/ld+json"> tag. The types available are Article (written as BlogPosting), Person, Organization, LocalBusiness, Product, BreadcrumbList and FAQPage.

How to use it

  1. Choose the Target Entity Type.
  2. Fill in the fields shown for that type.
  3. Press Copy JSON-LD and paste the script into your page.
  4. Test it in Google’s Rich Results Test or the Schema Markup Validator.

What you get, and what you don’t

The generator builds a flat object from the fields you fill in. It is a quick way to get valid structure for simple cases. It does not build a connected graph, so it doesn’t link your Article to your Person or your Organization with @id references, and it doesn’t add nested objects such as a full offers block with price validity.

For a serious setup, particularly on WordPress, an SEO plugin does a better job because it joins the pieces together and keeps them in sync with your content. Rank Math, which this site uses, generates the connected graph automatically. Use this tool for a static page, a one-off, or to see what the markup looks like.

Rules that matter more than the generator

  • Describe what is on the page. Don’t mark up content that visitors can’t see.
  • Don’t invent data. Ratings, review counts and prices must be real. Fake review markup can lead to a manual action.
  • Keep it unique. One Article per page, and no duplicate copies from both a plugin and a hand-pasted block.
  • Use Google’s guidance for each type. Not every schema.org type produces a rich result. Google documents which ones do.

Checking the result

Test the output in Google’s Rich Results Test, and in the Schema Markup Validator for types Google doesn’t use for rich results. Warnings about missing recommended fields are normal for a basic generator. Errors about invalid values need fixing.

Does adding schema improve my rankings?

Not directly. It helps search engines understand the page and can make a page eligible for rich results, but it isn’t a ranking boost on its own.

Why is the type BlogPosting when I chose Article?

The tool writes Article as BlogPosting, which is a more specific kind of article suited to posts.

Can I connect an Article to an author and publisher?

Not with this tool, which writes flat objects. Add the links by hand or use a plugin that builds the full graph.

Is it safe to use with Rank Math?

Be careful. If Rank Math already outputs Article schema, adding another creates duplicates.

Which schema types can I generate?

Article (written as BlogPosting), Person, Organization, LocalBusiness, Product, BreadcrumbList and FAQPage.
