Supports XLSX, XLS & CSV • Tabular Grid Rendering • Max 20MB

What this tool does

Upload an .xlsx, .xls or .csv file (up to 20 MB). Every sheet in the workbook is converted. You choose the paper size (A4, A3, Letter or Legal), portrait or landscape, and whether to draw gridlines. The result is a paginated PDF of the data.

How to use it

  1. Press Choose Excel File, or drop an .xlsx, .xls or .csv file (up to 20 MB) on the page.
  2. Choose the paper size, the orientation and whether to show gridlines.
  3. Press Convert to PDF, then Download PDF.

How it works

The server reads the workbook with openpyxl for .xlsx and xlrd for the older .xls format, then draws the table onto PDF pages with PyMuPDF. The file type is checked by its signature, not just its extension.

It is a table renderer, not Excel’s print engine. Plan for these differences:

  • Values, not formulas. You get the stored values. Formulas are not recalculated, so a workbook saved without cached results may show blanks or zeros.
  • Formatting is partial. Header styling, alignment and sheet names are carried over, but conditional formatting, charts, images, merged-cell subtleties and custom print areas may not be reproduced.
  • Column widths and wrapping are laid out by the tool, so page breaks won’t match Excel’s.
  • Wide sheets are split over several pages. Landscape or a larger paper size helps.

For a report that must look exactly like the spreadsheet, print to PDF from Excel itself. This tool is a quick way to get a readable PDF of the data.

Privacy

Your file is uploaded, converted in a temporary folder and not added to the media library. The download link lasts 15 minutes. Up to 10 requests a minute are allowed. The same data can go the other direction with PDF to Excel.

Does it recalculate formulas?

No. It uses the values stored in the file. Open and save the workbook in Excel first if values look empty.

Will my charts and images appear?

No. The tool renders cell data as a table.

Which paper sizes can I use?

A4, A3, Letter and Legal, in portrait or landscape.

Can it convert CSV?

Yes, CSV files are supported as well as XLSX and XLS.

Does it convert every sheet?

Yes. The page has no sheet picker, so every sheet in the workbook is drawn into the PDF.
