What this tool does

Select between 2 and 10 PDF files, arrange them in the order you want, and the tool joins them into one PDF that you download with a single link. The interface suggests up to 20 MB in total, and the combined file keeps each document’s pages in the order of the list.

How to use it

  1. Press Choose PDF Files, or drop two to ten PDFs on the page. Use Add More for extra files.
  2. Put the files in the order you want, and edit the merged file name if you like.
  3. Press Merge PDFs.
  4. Press Download Merged PDF within 15 minutes and check the pages.

How the merge works

The server joins the files by copying the page objects from each PDF into a new document. This is done by a lightweight PHP routine, not by a full PDF library. That keeps it fast and dependency-free, but it also means the tool is best with ordinary, unencrypted PDFs.

What can go wrong

Be realistic about these limits:

  • Encrypted or password-protected files can’t be merged. Unlock them first with the Unlock PDF tool.
  • Newer PDFs that store objects in compressed streams (common in files from recent versions of Word, InDesign and some scanners) may not merge correctly. If the result is missing pages or won’t open, merge with desktop software instead.
  • Bookmarks, form fields and document-level metadata are not carried over reliably. The merged file is a plain sequence of pages.
  • Always open the result and scroll through it before you send it on.

Privacy

Your files are uploaded to this site’s server for processing. They are stored in a temporary folder, never added to the WordPress media library, and linked to a one-time download address that expires after 15 minutes. Do not upload documents you are not comfortable sending to a server.

Up to 10 requests a minute are allowed.

How many PDFs can I merge?

From 2 to 10 in a single run.

Why is my merged PDF missing pages or blank?

The source PDF probably uses a structure this lightweight merger can’t read, such as compressed object streams. Try desktop software for that file.

Can I merge password-protected PDFs?

Not directly. Remove the password first with the Unlock PDF tool.

Are my files kept on your server?

They are held temporarily for processing and download, and are not stored in the media library. Download links expire after 15 minutes.

In the order shown in the list. Change the order before you press Merge PDFs.
