What this tool does
Upload a PDF, type the pages you want, such as 1-3, 5, 8, and the tool builds a new PDF with just those pages. The upload limit is 20 MB.
It produces one output file. If you want each page as a separate file, run it once per page.
How to use it
- Press Choose PDF File, or drop a PDF on the page.
- Type the pages to keep under Pages to Extract, for example 1-3, 5.
- Press Split PDF.
- Press Download Split PDF and open it to check the pages.
How page ranges are read
Separate items with commas. A dash means a range, so 2-4 is pages 2, 3 and 4. A single number is one page. Pages are counted from 1 in the order they appear in the document. If a range goes past the last page, you get an error that tells you how many pages the document has.
How it works, and its limits
The extraction is done by a lightweight PHP routine that edits the PDF’s page list rather than rebuilding the file with a PDF library. That is quick, with a few consequences:
- Encrypted PDFs can’t be processed. Remove the password first with Unlock PDF.
- PDFs that store pages in compressed object streams (common in newer files) may not split correctly. If the result is blank, wrong or won’t open, use desktop software for that file.
- The output may still contain data from pages you removed, because unused objects aren’t always cleaned out. So the file size might not shrink as much as you expect, and it is not a safe way to redact content. If a page holds sensitive information, don’t rely on this to remove it from the file.
Always open the result and check the pages.
The same engine powers the PDF Page Extractor, and 10 requests a minute are allowed. Your file is stored temporarily on the server and not added to the media library. The download link expires after 15 minutes.
Can it create several PDFs at once?
No. It makes a single output with the pages you selected.
Is it safe for removing confidential pages?
No. Don’t rely on it to redact. Leftover data from removed pages may remain in the file.

Why did it fail on my PDF?
